The pigs are supplied by Much Wenlock legendary butcher Paddy Ryan, whose shop is renowned throughout the county and is the only shop I know where there is always a queue to get served. Ryan's is a remarkable butcher's shop selling meat sourced from within five miles of the town. Specialities include pork and game pies in crisp, hot watercrust pastry, brawn, pressed beef and several types of locally cured bacon.
